4. Cookie Notice

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device and to store certain information about your preferences or past activities. Cookies do not cause any damage to your device, contain no viruses, and are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies).

Which Cookies Do We Use?

We distinguish between the following cookie categories:

a) Necessary Cookies

These cookies are strictly required for the proper functioning of the website. They enable basic functions such as page navigation, security features, and the storage of your cookie settings. Without these cookies, the website cannot be operated properly. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

b) Functional Cookies

Functional cookies allow the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have integrated into our pages. If you do not allow these cookies, some or all of these services may not function properly. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

c) Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. This data is used to continuously improve the performance and usability of our website. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

d) Marketing Cookies

Marketing cookies are used to provide visitors with relevant advertising and marketing campaigns. These cookies track visitors across websites and collect information in order to display tailored advertising. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

How Can You Manage Cookies?

On your first visit to our website, you will be informed about the use of cookies via a cookie banner and asked for your consent. You can adjust your settings at any time via the link "Manage cookies" in the footer of our website.

In addition, you can set your browser to inform you about the placement of cookies, to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and to enable the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. You will find the relevant settings in the help function of your browser.

Please note that disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Storage Period

Necessary cookies are generally deleted after the end of the browser session. Permanent cookies remain on your device until you delete them or until they reach their expiration date. The storage period of individual cookies may vary depending on their purpose.

Third-Party Cookies

On our website we use third-party services that may also set cookies on your device:

  • GSAP (GreenSock) — For animations, loaded via CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com). Privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
  • Vercel — Hosting provider. Privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

5. Data Collection on This Website

Server Log Files

The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Contact Form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent. The basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

6. External Services

The fonts used on this website (Schibsted Grotesk, JetBrains Mono) are served locally from our own server (self-hosting). No connection to Google servers is established and, in particular, no IP address is transmitted to Google.

For animations, the GSAP library is loaded from a CDN. In doing so, your IP address may be transmitted to the CDN operator.

For online appointment booking (e.g. initial consultations) we use Cal.com (Cal.com, Inc., USA), embedded via app.cal.com. When the booking widget loads, connection data (including your IP address) is transmitted to Cal.com. Privacy policy: cal.com/privacy.

Our contact and job-application forms are sent via the email service Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA). The data entered in the form — including any file attachments (e.g. a CV) — is transmitted to Resend in order to be delivered to our email address. Privacy policy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

7. SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address bar changes from http:// to https://.

8. Your Rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • Access the personal data we have stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
